One instructor’s comments after experiencing this ride was “it took my breath away, literally and spiritually! It’s so exhilarating and I felt so empowered!” Energia Magica means magical energy. This ride focuses on the mental toughness required to overcome a challenge. For instructors, this ride shows them how to employ more mind-body and inspirational cueing and imagery to describe their rides. For both instructors and students, it inspires them to tap into their mind-body connection to go beyond self-perceived limitations. The mental techniques employed are used by many outdoor cyclists to climb epic mountain passes. It’s about the ability to draw inspiration and energy from our surroundings as we ascend to help us through the most challenging and painful parts of the climb. This skill can, and will, help anyone get up these daunting climbs, even if it’s an imaginary mountain indoors.
